They just said it on the Colin Cowherd show. Hopefully he'll stay at WV and Jimbo will stay at LSU. Bama fans will go ape-s_it if they don't get Rich Rodriguez!

Interesting. But I don't put a lot of stock in Cowherder. He likes to stir the pot a little. Seems to take the polar opposite approach to every story compared to the others. Every now and then, he hits on one.

Cowherd is funny at times, and sure...he likes to stir the pot. He has a 3 or 4 hour radio show, he has to be entertaining.

I'm sure Bama can outbid WV any day of the week, but I love watching the Bama fans squirm. They are, by far, the most emotionally unstable fans in the SEC. I love watching the fall of the Tide!

It's not like he just made it up....it was coming from a reporter.

If WV is able to counter-offer and Rich stays at WV, Bama will go from being one of the laughing stocks in college football to the laughing stock in college football.

What I can't understand is why RR is entertaining this move now when he wasn't interested in the LSU job two years ago. You have to think that LSU's talent at that time was superior to the talent at Bama now. Also, he'll now have to recruit against another major in-state school whereas he wouldn't have had to do that at LSU. I'm not saying I wish we had him, but it's just odd logic on his part. Bama must have a lot of really good high school players already bought-and-paid-for for next year. LOL

If WV counter-offers, and then Bama counter offers that, then will Bama have enough money left over to pay their players?

They've already hit the players' salary cap.

Could be just timing, his stock is a lot higher now than it was when we were coach searching. He can demand more now. I don't think it necessarily has to do with the Bama job looking more attractive.

Alabama gave him until 2PM... he is huddled with WV brass trying to keep him.
