Link I thought his fellatio of Georgia was a bit much, but at least he recogninzed the unique facet of this year's LSU signing class. I believe some of our resident experts made that observation on NSD. Here's hoping we can repeat that kind of stat next year, or at least get close enough to land some of the 5-stars on the horizon.
What are we something like 25 out of 26 in recruiting in state talent the past 2 years? 96 percent. I'll take it all day long.
NC's bring in talent, no doubt...Wait till Louisiana has a very strong talent year, and we land the top players...It will all wash out. LA has a down year, according to Rivals.com...But we still land 14 out of 14 LA players. As we raise the bar, in the talent level each year, players get stronger, and faster to compete in the SEC. The strength of our program is in the weight room. Thanks to Mr Moffitt, we are ready for 4 quaters and that extra gear.
Rivals CEO was on Finebaum and he said rivals didn't have good data on La. recruits this year. That's a plausible excuse for him...instead of getting good data (or hiring someone to run the LSU site who can provide it)...they just say whoops..sorry, didn't have good data.
Not sure what you are trying to say but Mike isnt responsible for rating LA prospects for rivals.com...he just reports on LSU recruiting.
And vice-versa... Wait till what washes out? Just because Rivals says Louisiana has a down year doesn't mean that it's true. LSU actually offered more Louisiana prospects this past year than we will this year, despite Rivals thinking that this year's talent is vastly superior. Rivals didn't even bother evaluating Louisiana's talent last year. I would say that the strength of our program is our depth, which allows Moffitt to physically mold our players before they have to be relied on.
He most certainly is responsible for gathering information and passing that information on to Rivals so they can factor it in their decisions. Other rivals site admins gather information and lobby for their state's players. Bobby Burton said it himself...they were flying blind in La. They had no information on players, that is a large part of Mike's responsibility.
