That is categorically not true. He shut down Johnny Football 2 years in a row. In fact, that was the reason Sumlin gave for hiring him. Chavis is the reason we have undersized linemen and LB's because he recruited for speed not size.

Correct, mobile QB'S was the one thing he could stop most of the time.

T Bob wrote an article today saying we should keep Miles (not because of his ability to coach, but because it would send the wrong message that we are paying a coach 15 Mil to NOT Coach, and considering the state of LSU financially, it would be irresponsible to pay Miles out of his contract)

Yes, that's why LSU isn't going to pay him, boosters are. What message does it send to keep the captain of a ship that keeps blasting holes in the hull of his own ship?

Good thing our mobile QB doesn't run.

The biggest beef I have with this whole story is the changing play calls -- if he is doing that -- bad juju. There is no doubt in my mind that this constant looking to sideline, and trying to communicate to 10 other guys is killing us. We need to line up, with everyone knowing their job and then kick ass, either via air or ground. I moan when I see the pitiful looks to the sideline.

All good QBs can audible to another play when the defense is stacked against the play called in the huddle. I don't think Harris grasps the concept enough to do it on his own. Still, there's gotta be a better way than what we see.
