It was an alpine white 1969 Porsche 911e Targa. It had a replica duck tail not a whale tale of a 73 RS.
Mine was a 1977 Dodge Aspen RT that I saved and purchased myself! The only ones I could find are black, mine was red but looked more orange. I got a kick out of driving this car out on the flightline at Kelly AFB when we were working in a hanger there. I was approached by a couple of guys with M16's in hand, this was back in 87 btw. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2061651
1962 ford falcon.....called her the coon! friends and i would get tired of driving down the road so we'd take off and drive in the right of way and in the ditches. every now and then we'd get up to about 50 and throw it in reverse. KA-POW and all of a sudden your squealin' out in reverse....tough little car.
My first car was a 1967 chevrolet caprice that my friends nicknamed the Barettamobile, even though I think Baretta's vehicle was an Impala. In high school in the late 70's it was not the most impressive vehicle on the lot,but it sure was tough.I wish I still had that car today.
These are the first two cars I learned to drive, the Datsun 1600 was my aunt's, and the Corvair was my dad's. These are the actual years and colors of those cars.
This is the first car I bought (except mine was white w/ red interior). I bought it from my uncle in New Orleans for $200, and it was in GREAT shape. It had factory air, and I installed a killer 8-track player in it, which was ripped off TWICE parked by the Brass Rail on Highland Road when I was a freshman @ Ole War Skule..
Brother named Tyrone sold me a killer 8-track for $15 outside The White Horse on Highland Road. It soldiered on for years in my girlfriend's Pinto.
...which was right across the street from the Rail... I HOPE YOU LIKED MY F#%$@ 8-TRACK PLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hihi:
