I led the parade complaining about how inept this offense was and of course the terrible QB play we had for almost the entire season.

For that team to go 11-2 with that offense and especially poor QB play, it's worth taking a look at teams suffering from a similar fate offensively this season.

    Texas - 5-4 (likely to go 6-6)
    Florida - 5-5 (likely to go 6-6)

Both teams have good defenses. Yet they can't figure out how to win on a regular basis this year.

One key component that differentiates these teams from LSU's 2010 highly successful season is special teams. LSU made this a top priority and it saved many a ball game. And secondly, the conservative offense we all hated kept our QBs from throwing game changing interceptions and allowed LSU to repeatedly win close games.

To think LSU was just one offensive drive from the Auburn 40 with 7 minutes left to go in the game from possibly going to a national championship is pretty crazy.

Looking back at 2010, it may have actually been his finest performance as a head coach. And then he fixes the problem with QB play in the off season to cap it all off.

True. Hindsight can be pretty revealing. I wasn't posting here but I criticized play calling all last year and prayed for "a real" QB. we STILL don't have what I would call a seasoned, quality QB but with our OL and running game combined with the Defense and Special Teams thus far we have not required stellar play from that position though it could probably have altered the complexity of the 'Bama game considerably.

Texas went 5-7 with the same QB problems they have this year.

More teams experiencing poor QB play

    Ohio State 6-4.
    Auburn 6-4.

I gotta agree with the QB play we got, 11-2 is pretty good. I just don't believe QB was handled like it should have been.

I thought that all year long last year, but now it appears Crowton was indeed the issue.

And this coming from a huge supporter of Crowton.

Krags was the answer. Thank God for him.

And let's not undersell the performance by Stud as OC. He has handled the season perfectly with these QBs.

11-2 is pretty good under ANY circumstances in the SEC.

From one perspective it's awesome that we can go 11-2 in spite of our QBs

From another perspective, if we only had a decent QB...what could have been
