Now, I can see how the filter of the mainstream gotcha' media are workin' here, don'tcha know. First you're wantin' me to address a policy that I've never heard of and with some shill all a-ridiculin' me before I can even read the link, y'know.

Oh sure, you betcha'! Well, all I'm gonna say is that, gosh darnit, we're gonna fix this financial crisis and everything else that's plaguin' this great country of ours. And also, too, the great Ronald Reagan.

This article raises legitimate questions that conservatives have about Obama, all rolled up nicely into one giant conspiracy theory. Reports of possible voter fraud already happening in Ohio and Nevada only magnify the situation. (http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/07/acorn-vegas-office-raided-voter-fraud-investigation/ and http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/07/campaign-dynamics-fraud-potential-impacted-early-voting/) This is my biggest problem, the only thing that I have to go on in regards to Obama is the words that come out of his mouth. He has no record of accomplishing anything while a member of Congress. If he was for additional oversight of fannie and freddie two years ago, like he said he was, why didn't he introduce legislation to do something about it? I guess I just don't trust him to do what he says.

Well, you never linked to the actual 1966 paper written by Clovard and Piven, just to a really biased conspiracy theory that takes the thesis of this paper and tries to make it into a vast radical liberal attempt to install socialism and is responsible for the current credit crisis. It's a preposterous stretch, in my opinion.

That is the problem. Conspiracy theories get kookier and kookier the further you try to stretch them. I think this one can be ignored, too.

It's like Joe McCarthy finding a communist conspiracy behind, well, everything. As Ayn Rand wrote, such people don’t understand the role of philosophy. Those who hold the same philosophic premises will tend to want the same political policies. Those who do not understand the role of philosophy in man’s life think conspiracy theories are at work.

The article is clearly slanted to the right and makes all kinds of leaps of logic.

I mean--check out this laughable diagram and try to imagine that it proves anything,

According to them the chart puts Barack Obama at the epicenter of an "incestuous stew of American radical leftism" No evidence whatsoever. Just a bunch of "six Degrees to Kevin Bacon" nonsense.

Or take this comment "Barack Obama, the Cloward-Piven candidate, no matter how he describes himself, has been a radical activist for most of his political career." Well, there is no "Cloward-Piven candidate". Obama is the Democratic Party Candidate. There is no evidence that this obscure 1963 paper has anything whatsoever to do with any of the assumptions made by the author of this piece.

Nothing to see here. Move along . . .

As far as a liberal conspiracy being responsible for the crisis we are in . . . I say, any debtor who has no understanding of income, debt, or credit...and actually doesn't check for those things deserves to fail and "liberals" are hardly responsible for bad management or fiscal responsibility. And the really criminal act here was these companies who put these loans together, and then pooled the loans and sold them to bigger banks...the banks that are now failing. "Liberals" are not responsible for bankers (mostly Republican) behaving badly simply to make a quick buck off the system put in place by people like Phil Gramm. They made huge bonuses by approving as many loans as they could.

I read that article and came away thinking it was an attempt at humor. Maybe if he had used Visio to make his flow chart it would be more believable, but the use of Word makes it look amateurish

There are enough legitimate reasons to not vote for Obama to have to take the logical jumps the author of this piece made to smear the dude.

If he had stopped writing after he said Democrats were unfathomable idiots, and he added the term Republicans to that sentence, I would have agreed.

Page two...if it accuses the Left, it is by its very existence nothing to be taken seriously.
