Charles Alexander would be a great addition to the team. I grew up in Breaux Bridge and watched Charles play earlier this season when I was home visiting my parents. He was impressive! He's fast, big and aggresive.
Are there any commitments that are being kept out of the media for any reason? It just seems that with the success that this program has had the past few years and the recruiting classes that we would have more than 8 strong commits and one soft verbal. Tigerbait has a link saying Doucet is considering going back to MIami 2 more times.
Who wrote the article about Doucet? I remember a couple of years ago Miami fans already had Clayton and Spears as locks. Last year they had Bowe up until signing day.
Don't know who wrote that. Just a link on Tigerbait, but everything I hear there are going to be some shockers and that we may wind up with either a 1 or 2 ranked class by the time it is all said and done. The way it is looking now there is a very good chance that we may have both Doucet and X. Carter. We also have a very large number of defensive players (def. ends, def. tackles, linebackers, safety, and corners)that are in the top 5 or 10 in almost every publication that you look at, that have lsu on their short list.
Our early commits are pretty good. LSU and Georgia have the best looking 2004 classes in the SEC at this point. Not the most players but Claude Wroten and Glenn Dorsey, both DT's are top of the line players. We will have a solid defense for years to come.
Digressing just a bit, one of my golfing buddies, whose son plays on the Breaux Bridge offensive line, told me that Early Doucet is a man among boys. My friend has had a son playing on the BB team for the past 8 years and this is the first time I have heard him give any credit to an opponent.
Hint: Can you say Florida.... Charles Alexander is everything but committed. Keep an eye on Ryan Miller as well...I wonder if the Aggie beat downs are given him a sad impression?
