I've lurked on the board for awhile and really enjoy it. Just registered and thought what better place than LA to get some tailgating recipes. With it being winter and no cfb to watch, the drama of signing day having ended, I thought I might see what your favorite recipe(s) are. I might add that being a Bama and Tar Heel fan I've always liked LSU, their fans, and band! and always had a great time in BR and NO. So, with that I'll give you one of mine:

    COUNTY LINE TENDERLOIN

¨ 1 whole peeled beef tenderloin (5-6 pounds)

    ¨ Lemon-pepper seasoning

¨ Dab baste (melted butter, fresh lime juice, freshly pressed garlic)

Cook 45 min to an hour

With meat at room temperature, cover all sides of the tenderloin with lemon-pepper seasoning. Put on the grill (can use a foil boat to preserve juiciness). To a hot charcoal fire add chunks of hardwood that have been soaking at least an hour (can use other wood chips such as pecan or mesquite). Check after 20 minutes. Check every 10 minutes and add baste. Lemon-pepper can be substituted by cayenne.

    Enjoy!

well then the mods can move it for him...but then he wont be able to reply if anyone should ask him about the recipe.
