saban waited till he got to orlando to announce that he would take to fins job so he could still coach the bowl game. If he announced earlier there would have been less of a chance to coach the game. Now since he is already there he has to coach the game. I'm still thankful for what Saban did for us, but the way he treated us and the players was totally *******. He only cares about himself. I hope he fails in the pros. Jimmy V said, 'never mess with happiness'. Well he messed with it, and when he falls flat on his face I hope he reads that.

You're right. Skip would have put someone else in as coach had it happened in BR. Now Skip can't get to talk to him. He knew he was taking the Dolphins job and didn't want to give up the bowl game.

You are kidding yourself if you think that Skip did not know this morning before they left that Saban was gone.

Skip himself said that he and Saban had decided ahead of time that Saban would coach the bowl game no matter what.

:thumb: That's what the man said...and Saban deserves this. He made this team. Now it is time for Skip to take that list out of his top drawer and get us another top notch coach asap.

I disagree. He can still be removed. I think he would have announced in BR or MIA that he was leaving had Skip denied him permission to coach the game. Basically, NS resigned, but his resignation is effective Jan 2. or something. All parties concerned apparently agreed to that arrangement. I don't like Saban's leaving anymore than you do, but I don't wish him bad luck. Actually, I feel for him, because dealing with NFL babies is a totally different ball game than dealing with college players. Don't get me wrong, there are ego maniacs everywhere, but the college player still has to get to that next level. Too many NFL players mail it in and have no loyalty once that check has been cut. Saban will find the going much different at HC in the NFL. He'll need all the good luck he can get.

Emmert did a lot to get saban, and where is Emmert now? Oh yeah not here. serious question though, would you rather have an offensive coach or a defensive coach?
