I can't seem to figure out why, Arkansas vs LSU when played at home for Arkansas has to be played at War Memorial in Little Rock, LSU should get the opportunity to play at Donal W Reynolds in Fayetteville, it is much nicer, more up to date and has one of if not the biggest jumbotron in the nation.
LSU played there the first year that arky was in the SEC. Haven't played there since as far as I know. Reason being: there's a sh*t ton of arky alumni in the Little Rock area, and the Arkansas Razorback Alumni Association has a hell of a lot to do with that game always being in Little Rock...and you're right, Razorback Stadium is a lot nicer. War Memorial is crap. The jumbotron doesn't come close to the ones in Jerry's World.
As far as colleges go, I'm pretty sure Mississippi State's is bigger. Oklahoma has a pretty big one too. Can't stand going with my wife to their home games. I feel so dirty.
Coming from one of my co-workers (Ark. alum), she stated that Arkansas plays 1 game in War Memorial each season because of one big booster that has requested it. She further went on to say that outside of Razorback alum that live in Little Rock or surroudning areas, most of their fans hate playing there as well.
two games, we play a non conference and a conference, when LSU is away Miss St or South Carolina gets the opportunity? to play in Little Rock, now i have to say Arkansas' Record is very good in Little rock 146-52-2.
Probably because the opponents are so depressed about playing in that rinky-dink stadium that they can't get up for the game like they should.
Actually it's fricken sad and prolly true! SEC should step in and make this "trailer trash team" upgrade the War Memorial Facility to a minimum of SEC standards. Arkansas is the trailer trash of the SEC and this crap has gone on long enough at War Memorial
Really? The trailer trash? Come on now, Auburn and Ole Miss? Kentucky, Tenn? SEC East (with the exception of Spurrier years and the Tebow years at Florida)
