This is my opinion and am doing this to continue in the tradition of comparing LSU/Auburn. I see a lot of talk about AU on this board - so I will carry the torch onward and do this breakdown of MY OPINION of the 15 best at AU. You at home rate yours.

1. Sr. RB - Carnell Williams
2. Sr. RB - Ronnie Brown
3. Sr. CB - Carlos Rogers
4. Jr. OL - Marcus McNeill
5. Sr. SS - Junior Rosegreen
6. Jr. LB - Travis Williams
7. Jr. TE - Cooper Wallace
8. Sr. QB - Jason Campbell
9. Sr. DE - Brett Eddins
10. Sr. OL - Danny Lindsey
11. So. WR - Courtney Taylor
12. Sr. DT - Jay Ratliff
13. So. FS - Will Herring
14. So. DE - Stanley McClover
15. So. CB - Montavis Pitts

1. Corey Webster CB...14 INT's in 2 seasons as a converted corner. Has intercepted the likes of Rex Grossman, Ben Rothlesburger, Eli Manning, Matt Jones, David Greene, and Jason White during his career. He's probably the best cover corner in the country and was not burned one time last season.

2. Marcus Spears DE...Could ahve been a late first round pick just last April but has stayed on board a defense that he helped make dominant last season. At 6-4, 300 pounds, and a 4.8/40 - Spears is one of the top 4 DE ends in the country.

3. Ben Wilkerson C...Another All-American who turned down the NFL. He has amazing athletic ability from the center spot. He can pull from a snap and take out a LB as quick as some guards.

4. Justin Vincent TB...Still unproven, in my opinion, because he only started 6 games for LSU in 2003. He still had 1,001 yards and averaged 6.5 ypc. He ran all over Arkansas and Georgia.

5. Andrew Whitworth OT...He's a beast at nearly 6-8 and 330 pounds. He's a junior and was red-shirted his Freshman year, so he brings smarts to the table along with an impressive size.

6. LaRon Landry FS...Most underrated player on the defense of a year ago. As a true Freshman, he led the team in tackles and also was a terrific blitzing free safety. He's one of the best athletes on the team and has exceptional speed and can hit hard.

7. Skyler Green WR/KR...May not be the "go to" WR, but still is a dangerous weapon with 4.3 speed. He's electrifying on punt returns and a threat to break away with the football at any moment and any circumstance.

8. Travis Daniels CB...Overshadowed by Webster, but has ALL-SEC ability. He led the team in pass-breakups and also plyed some safety. he's very dependable and is also a great open field tackler. He got his first taste of college football in '01 in SEC c'ship and made some key plays.

9. Nate Livings OT...Another returning starter with huge size. He played guard last season but will move to tackle and has the size at 6-5, 315.

10. Lionel Turner MLB...One of the best post season players for LSU in that he intercepted David Greene for a key TD in SEC c'ship and sacked Jason White on OU's last chance to tie the Tigers late in the 4th. Second on team in tackles behind Landry.

11. Ally Broussard TB...Even though he backs up Vincent, Ally is a better version of what LaBrandon Toefield was. He's a bruiser who is going to run over others. He's 235 pounds and capable of starting at many other quality universities. He'll get some touches.

12. Dwayne Bowe WR...Only a few catches but this kid is impressive looking and was outstanding in spring drills. He should be the starting split end on September 4th...compared to NFLers like David Boston and Terrell Owens.

13. Melvin Oliver DE...Was a backup but still played a lot and had great numbers last season. He had four sacks and played a vital role in the win over Oklahoma for the NC. He was rumored to possibly be duismissed from the team...untrue.

14. Joseph Addai TB/WR...The most versatile of all the backs - which is why he may be moved to WR. Has size, speed, and hands. Our number one RB until he went down with inhury.

15. David Jones TE...Came on strong late and solidified himself as the starter. He caught 13 passes and is an exceptional blocker. I wouldn't be surprised if he was all-SEC by season's end.

I think that is a pretty good list, actually. Some of the freshmen could make an impact and crack into the list, but as of right now, I dont think I would shuffle that too much.

Probably based on importance to the team rather than overall talent. Also listed my guess at their postseason awards. I also only listed players I fill have proven themselves in games. No Fresh or RS Fresh on this list.

I think ya'll's best player is your RB Justin Vincent. He is an amazingly fast north-south runner.

He's actually not that fast Wishbone. Shyrone and Joe Addai are actually faster than Vincent. Vincent is patient enough to wait for a hole to open, has great vision and can break ankles.
