...as in: If you were seeking a head coaching job, in what order would you rank the 12 SEC coaching jobs in order of appeal. In which order would you want them.

    Unbiased opinion:

    1. LSU
    1. Florida
    3. Auburn
    4. UGA
    5. Tennessee
    6. Alabama
    7. South Carolina
    8. Arkansas
    9. Kentucky
    10. Ole Miss
    11. Vanderbilt
    12. Miss. St.

I have LSU and UF a tie for first. They are the two premier jobs in the SEC right now. Even though I hate AU, that job is almost up there with LSU/UF. UGA,UT, and Ark are about the same right now with USC and Ark not far behind. 9-12 are a wash, they're all crappy right now.

From a popularity contest, might have to move Alabama down a few notches.

Thats exactly how Id rank the SEC schools. Florida should be ahead of LSU. They are a little more of an established national power. So they have a little more access to top out of state talent. Also, Florida is up there as maybe the state with the most HS talent. LSU is a strong second. Really establishing consistentcy as a national power. LSU is also becoming a major recruiting power. The outstate talent is really high this year that is looking hard or already commited to LSU. The top 5 SEC school are all amongst the best jobs in the country. If you take away the ghost of the Bear, Bama could be a great job. Bama has a solid state to recruit in, plus the tradition to rival ND, OSU, Michigan, and USC.

I think Bama would have to be last on my list. I noticed some of the schools at the bottom of everyone's list were the likes of Ole Miss, Vandy, Miss St., etc..., and I have a different opinion there. At least at these programs, there isn't much to live up to, expectations are pretty low. That's why Bama is at the bottom...nobody will ever live up to BB. The expectations are just too high. As far as AU, UF, LSU, and UGA, the expectations would be high, but with the recent success of these programs, recruiting would allow for some success. :helmet: LSU!
