    i dunno, i would like to see both creationism and harry potter in schools. harry potter is good stuff. the most recent harry potter was awesome. obviously they both should be considered entertaining myths, but i like them both anyways. i took mythology at mckinley middle in 6th grade. harry potter and creationism could have both been part of a "contemporary myths" chapter.

    I think the key to that sentence was science class.

    I don't mind christian theology / history being taught in a history class. I believe that Christianity has a lot to do with where we are as a country and therefore it's relevent to the subject matter.

    There are no scientific facts that support the christian theory of creationism. Therefore it has no place in the science class. at least in my opinion.

    i was mostly kidding. i really do like harry potter though.

    once i went to summer school in baton rouge at christian life academy. i took biology. they not only taught creationism, they actively tried to discount evolution. like the textbooks would have examples of how scientists were dumb and how the evidence for evolution was stupid. and yet somehow this was an accredited school and my credit counted fine towards graduation from the public school system. just another example of how the foolishness and backward thinking of religion gets a free pass in society. people rarely have the guts to call out christianity for the mystical mumbo-jumbo that it is.

    "you have to respect people's beliefs", they say, i hear it here all the time.

    religions = socially sanctioned lunacy.

    Great response SabanFan, may I also add that I love to see Kerry make a fool of himself.

    1) Going around the country and mis-pronouncing sports teams and their stadiums while he acts like he can relate to the common person when he
    doesn't have a clue.

    2) I'm absolutely loving CBS and Dan Rather in the cross-hairs while all the
    Democrats are in panic mode across the country.
    Kerry hiring as many Clintonites as possible to save his pathetic campaign.

    "The problem in this campaign isn't Kerry's staffing, Nope, you have to look
    at Mr.Herman Munster himself." :lol:
