"Weekends like these are why people lose their jobs, relationships end and middle-aged men have high blood pressure. It’s almost as if life has gift-wrapped us a middle of the year treat and tied it with a southern-style gridiron bow"

    That gets me so excited

Damn. That does get you fired up doesn't it? I wish our game was later so I could watch the other games as well.

We will be watching the first part of the early games on Three 50 inch plasma screens at our tailgate spot across from the Practice field if anyone wants to come say "hi" to me :hihi:

Few schools nationally have had the recent success of both Georgia and LSU. The two programs are the defending east and west champions and have established themselves as the heavyweights in each respective division. The Bayou Bengals upended Mark Richt and company twice, once in Baton Rouge, once in the SEC championship game, en route to their BCS national title. Now, the Bulldogs are looking for some home revenge. Athens hasn’t seen such a crucial battle in quite some time; throw in a little redemption and the atmosphere should be incredible. On the field, both teams’ immediate goal remains the league crown. For Georgia, a slip up opens the door for Tennessee to take control in the SEC east. For LSU, a loss almost guarantees them a runner-up division finish, or worse. Much of the nation, including the pollsters, will be watching this game with great intent. The Tigers need to redeem themselves after an inconsistent early showing, while Georgia must prove the naysayers wrong who are quick to point out their struggles against South Carolina and Marshall. It’s game where both teams have something to prove, a game where both teams have plenty to lose. Brian VanGorder and Will Muschamp have two of the premier defenses in the nation, a potential storyline to watch. UGA is allowing just 11.3 points per game this season. LSU? A pencil-thin 8.5.

Nice. High def receiver or built in? I have a 65 inch Toshiba with an HD receiver and a TiVo box. Have the oval Directv dish with triple LNB's and a 5x8 multiswitch for the tvs around the house.

There is nothing better than football in High Def on a widescreen. :thumb:

I'll be in Athens in a scorching hot uniform with a trombone. Gonna be a noisy stadium, I'll bet. You know, to give AU some credit, I've never heard Jordan-Hare so loud as two weeks ago. Not as loud as the Valley, but as loud as I care to hear it when we're the visitors. Congrats to the AU fans for contributing. It also occurred to me, at the MSU game, that I could actually hear their pep band, as opposed to Auburn's full band. Then, it struck me that the reason for that was that the Auburn band couldn't be heard above the insufferable din that the crowd was making for most of the game, whereas the MSU game was as quiet as I've heard Tiger Stadium in two seasons. Kudos to Auburn.
