Quick question... Does the BCS reward you for beating a team you lost to earlier in the season? Like if we were to beat Florida in the SECCG?
They don't specifically give you any reward for beating a team you lost to like QW or anything, but I think it will help us with the voters perspective. I think it will prove that there's no one on our schedule that we can't beat.
Well, they give you the SOS bonus as normal, and if they stay in the Top 10, you will get QW points, but other than QW, you don't get any more credit for beating a team you lost to than a team you already beat.
I've got another BCS question about quality win points. Lets just say for example that we play Tenn in the SECCG and of course beat them , since that would more than likely knock them out of the top 10 in the BCS would we get quality points for beating them that week?
Thats what I kind of thought, and thats one thing they should fix. You should get QW points for knocking a team out of the top ten, at least something. Thanks for the answer geauxscott.
Look for a bunch of changes to the BCS system next year...some that come to mind will be: re-evaluating the computer formulas and including margin of victory back into the equation.
