No he wasn't, not at any point was he "fine". He believed Maxine Waters when she said the AR 15 shoots a giant bullet that can bring down a building. He also believes anything else he hears on the news which is why his opinion is worthless on the subject.

Lets get BOT, all this talk of an AR being able to handle the pressure created by a bullet is just nonsense. I had an AR-10 that recently fell out of a boat (tragic I know) but it nothing more than a 7.62x51 or a .308 however you want to look at it, any Rem 700 that you can buy at Academy or Bass Pro or wherever you buy your firearms could shoot the same rounds. Deer hunters across the country use the same ammo every year, all year. This is what I mean buy Winston buying into the narrative. There is nothing magical about anything on the AR platform, nothing! But they look scary, so we have to do something about it.
