I know Ronald McClendon is not playing while his elligibility is determined and that a SUV purchase is involved. However, what if Ronald McClendon is found inelligible by the NCAA? In the past in situations like this a team has had to forfeit games that the inelligible player played in. Being that McClendon played in several SEC games this question is fairly important and will have a bearing on every other SEC team and their bowl standings it would seem that the SEC would be pushing for a resolution. When is the NCAA set to rule on McClendon and his status or have they already done so? Does anyone know?

Shady at best by Ole Miss. All the more reason to kick their ass.
This situation stinks to high heaven and sure looks like Ole Miss has been dragging their feet responding to this question of McClendon's elligibility. I suspect that he is going to be ruled inelligible and Ole Miss may in fact be forced to forfeit games. The SEC should be pressing for a resolution to this situation as it has dragged on for a good while now. Isn't it amazing that in Ole Miss's best season in 40 years that a players elligibility is in question this late in the season? What a coincidence.
I smell probation coming at Ole Miss but anytime a players elligibility is in question and he has to be held out of games as a result, a speedy answer should be given considering the impact on the other SEC teams.

Actually, it's better to let them play out the season and drop the hammer when it's over, so it doesn't affect strength of schedule.

You guys got it right, Ole Miss is dirty. And, they will pay.
If they had a leg to stand on, Ronnie Mac would be playing.
Their director of compliance knows it's an arse whippin' comin'.
Ole Miss will be stripped of all wins with this kid playing.

Case closed. Boosters cannot give benefits or favors to players or their families. BIG TIME .............................BUSTED

It won't matter. LSU is gonna bust Ole Miss' arse Saturday. Ole Miss should not get to go to any bowl once it's determined by the NCAA that they are dirty.

McClendon KNEW BETTER. Shame he'll punish the rest.

You beat me to the punch on that one BB Tiger. Wouldn't it be a mess if LSU wins out and on the Sunday following the SECCG the NCAA makes Ole Miss forfeit the games McClendon has played in and it drops LSU SOS to keep them out of the Sugar Bowl. LSU would be punished for the crime of being in the same conference as a cheating program.

Wouldn't that be irony ... after we whip the hell out of them, and the final BCS polls are almost ready to come out ... they get stripped and we get penalized SOS points or some BS

The way I've heard it, the booster in question has had a long relationship with the family and only became a booster after Ronald commited to OM. That does not mean that it was acceptable (rules mean something), but it is not as bad as it may sound. I dispise OM but I do not want to be overly critical. We beat OM either way
