Please correct me if I am wrong!

After the unsportsman-like penalty (high-fiving the fans ??) against LSU, the penalty was assessed on the extra-point. After Miami returned the opening kickoff against Florida, the Miami player removed his helmet on the field and was flagged for unsportsman-like conduct. That penalty was assessed on the kickoff, according to the booth announcers that was the new rule this year- to assess the deadball foul after a touchdown on the ensueing kickoff. Which is it??? Anyone know??

The reason why the penalty in the LSU

game was assessed on the extra point is because LSU chose to do it there!!!

You have the option, either on the extra point or on the kickoff... Saban just chose to do it on the extra point...good choice IMO at that point in the game!

I really like that rule...players like Josh Reed are hard to come bye...he was the best I ever seen as far as sportsmanship. That is why he was well respected and so great!

The other team has the option whether to make the scoring team kick a long extra point or have it enforced on kickoff. Later in the Miami game, Florida took a celebration penalty before the point because Miami was down by 2 points and wanted to make them try a 2 point conversion from the 17 instead of the two.
