A friend of mine attended the LSU-Auburn game this past Saturday. He gave me a call 3 hours before kickoff from his tailgating area. He was shocked to see how calm the atomosphere was and how very few people were actually tailgating. I asked him if it was maybe the area he was in and he said they planted themselves in the most populated area. My question is, is tailgating not that big of an event there?

I was there and the tailgating seemed fine to me!! Great atmosphere!! It may not be LSU, but its above par for most tailgating!!

They have a lot of people tailgating. Their area is just really spread out. Not very many trees. Hot as ****.

I noticed the same thing, there were hardly any trees and once you found shade, it was very crowded.

Tailgating at Auburn is different from LSU. The parking is much more congested and there is not a big area like the parade grounds that you guys have. There are still plenty of parties going on, but in many cases, it is smaller tents where vehicles cannot be parked. We are also spread out over the whole campus and beyond. Y'all are pretty well in one large area.

Tailgating in Baton Rouge is unique, in my opinion. Y'all do it right. We do it right also, just a little differently.

Basically what he is saying is LSU and Auburn tailgating are equal just LSU is more equal than Auburn tailgating...

Ok, I'll say it, LSU tailgating is a more festive atmosphere that is more organized.

Auburn tailgating is more laid back.

I'll never say LSU is better. But it is awesome.

I would love to experience it myself one of these days.
