Question about priority points... Also, what's your priority ranking?

In my 3rd consecutive "rejection letter" from LSU (for season tix) it mentioned they were only able to fulfill new season ticket requests (for a pair of tickets) up to about the 5,000 rank and single seats up to about the 6,000 rank. Anyway, what kind of ranking do yall estimate would be needed for possibly 4 seats or 2 seats for next year? I'm determined not to get left out again! Also, what kind of ranking does one need to be offered away game tickets (Tulane doesn't count)? What about SEC Championship or Bowl tickets?

Finally, I'm curious what some of yall's ranking is. Please post it up if that's OK... I'm now ranked near 6,700 last I checked.

yeah I received another rejection letter this year too. I have a friend who sells me a pair of his every year so I'm not totally SOL.

I think it's kind of sh!tty that the waiting list resets every year, but they'll never change that since it guarantees that big dollar contributors get new tickets when they want them.

When the priority point system was initiated, I was somewhere in the 1100's. Been a season ticket holder since 1995 through TAF. Now I have 2 accounts - for my 4 tiks plus parking pass and my deceased father's account. I cannot combine the accounts because I would actually lose his priority points, or a good portion of them. Both of my accounts are ranked somewhere in the low 1500 to high 1600. I got turned down this year for Bama tickets for the first time.

No big deal, though. Stub hub has got me covered. I think what I will do from now on is just buy my away tiks off of stubhub. It is cheaper than trying to gain ground on the bigwigs who can make 10K+ contributions to TAF to up their rankings.

Does anyone know if the money you pay (when you are offered season tickets) as part of the "Tradition Fund" count toward more priority points or is that donation not considered "point worthy"?

Also, it seems there's always a limit of 8 with LSU... Not that I would want or could afford more than that but can one individual purchase more than 8 seats or is that the limit per account? I'm sure they make exceptions to some of the fat cats but let say the average LSU season ticket holder wanted 12 seats, would he be able to do so under his/her name? Lastly, would those additional seats, added after the original ones, be place elsewhere in the stadium or since the person has a fair bit of points be able to get them altogether? Can someone with more points uproot someone with fewer points even if the one with fewer had the seats for a previous season already?

Just curious. Seems like you gotta give a real decent chunk of money to TAF to get you ranked in a position to get something like 4 seats in one of the endzones or something. I've been letting the dollars trickle into TAF for awhile now but apparently not enough. One day....

The Tradition Fund earns you 1 TAF Priority Point per $1,000.
For Example, 2 South End Zone = $105 per seat in Tradition Fund or $210 per season = .21 points.

I know this won't make you feel any better, but if you had donated $100 to TAF in each of those three years, I'm pretty sure you could have gotten tickets last year, if not the year before that.

As for next year, I think they may be even harder to come by. With Saban at Bama and Georgia coming back on the schedule, the off-year home schedule won't be nearly as off as it was last year, so I don't expect to see many tickets free up. You never know though. My suggestion, donate $100 to TAF each year and try to work your way up. I was just over 6,000 on the ranking when it closed and got two in the South endzone more or less piggy back (consecutive rows, about 7 seats a part).

Previous poster is right. I was shutout since the list was started at $50 a year (1 point). This year I gave $100 (3 points) and got 4 singles. I'm around 5100 with like 9.25 or so points. I understand season ticket holders get first crack at new tickets. I'm hoping to convert my 4 singles to 2 doubles then to 4 together. Next year write a bigger check. It worked for me.
