If LSU has another big lead in the second half, who should go in a QB? We have been putting in Marcus Randall, but with Matt Flynn and Jamarcus Russell, they are our future at QB. With a chance to get some experience, I would go with one of them, or rotate them in.

Is Saban planning to redshirt both of them, unless Mauck gets injured, and that's why he is holding them out?

Hopefully they both will be redshirted. No point in bringing either of them in to maintain a big lead and lose a year of eligibility.

Did anyone see JaMarcus & Matt Mauck "high 5-ing" on the sideline? Russell is listed at 6'6" and Mauck at 6'2". But Russell was a lot taller than Mauck. Even though Matt had his helmet on & Russell's was off. May have been the camera angle. Just my opinion, but Russell looks like a hoss.

Why would coach waste a year for either JaMarcus or Matt Flynn when MM is doing just FINE?
He is a very poised, smart quarterback and I for one am happy to see him doing well.
JaMarcus and, or Matt is our future and a bright future it is!!!

    GO TIGERS!!! 31 to 7

I was a little surprised that late in the 4th Mauck wasn't pulled to prevent injury. I thought that Randall could have gotten some additional quality minutes against AU's 1st team.

Leave the FR on the bench for the redshirt. They are gaining invaluable experience watching the execution from the sideline.

Here's my concern, if #1 goes down, you need a QB you feel can win a big game (Bama, Ole Miss, Arky, or SECCG). After Mauck, I don't feel that way. Randall didn't show it last year, maybe a year older and he has learned what he needs, and maybe Saban knows it and I'm worried about something I don't need to be worried about. Saban sees every day and I sure don't.

I agree MM does an excellent job, but my thought is you always need 2 QB's you feel can win the big one for you. Depth is good!

Yah, but we will cross that bridge if we need too, and hopefully we never have to this year.
