Prior to the game, I thought our punting might throw the game for us. As it turned out, our punting was actually very good last night and Auburn's punting cost them field position a couple of times. Clutch game for Dalfrey. He had some great outcomes. Hope that continues! :thumb:
Maybe Dalfrey has gotten over his jitters. I've heard that at practice he booms them pretty well, but when he gets in a game to do it, he just kind of chokes up (for lack of a better term). He got a few nice ones off and like Lee, that may be just what he needed to calm him down and give him the confidence he needs to be consistent.
With the exception of Trindon's problem with punts special teams was much better all around last night. I 'm not sure what happened to Trindon. ldskule:
Being that he only JUST started returning punts despite his return prowess tells me that he must muff them in practice, also.
i agree. at the appy state game i just sat there and watched the ball go straight up and straight down. bad was an understatement. a nice turn around for the young man and ive scratched one worry off the list.
People might not be aware than Auburn's regular punter was out for this game. Unfortunately for them, it played a part in them losing.
I had not realised that but what I did realize was Auburn was getting some 50 yarder + beauties against Miss St. I wondered what was up with the total lack for a punting game.
