    From the Picayune:

We will have to less Schollies to offer but IMO this is very good news and I congratulate both guys on turning around their scholastic careers, job well done so far. This will gives us a very good corner next season with a lot of experience and continue to give us more depth at RB and punt returner than most teams in the country.

That is good news. We all know Shyrone is a good RB and kick returner, and will be nice to have around. Prude has looked good this year too. He's missed a couple of INT's he could've had so far, but he's had some great plays too. I could see him on one side and #21 Chevis Jackson (sp?) on the other. Did anyone see him last week? Boy was looking rather Webster-ish. I'm really looking forward to seeing him develop and play.

It will all come out in the wash because if you think about it we have one from Hawkins leaving and one from Edwards so we should be ok. Plus I want these guys back next year since that is the year we have a good chance of running the table.

I think Saban has already used Hawkins and Edwards Scholarships. I know Steltz the fullback got one, not sure which walk on got the other. Never the less I would rather have Carey and Prude around for another year than a true freshman.

It was a foregone conclusion ... Prude will really be a

big boost in our secondary next season with the 2 Srs going ... and an heir apparent for a starting position

Jackson and Prude starting at the corners? I like both of them, but Prude seems to get beat in coverage (although he looks great on blitzes) a few times and Jackson has only covered back ups on Arkansas State and Mississippi State. IMO, Sammy Joseph and Mario Stevenson will be the starting corners next year. Maybe not Stevenson because of his injury, but I think Joseph will definetely be starting at corner next year.

Well, make up your mind, son ... I like Stevenson, too ... and we've got lots of room back there for players in the nickel and dime ... Joseph will take time to learn the system ... may earn a spot late if he ponies up with some good play ... we'll see

Well, if Stevenson is healthy I assume he'll be the starting corner over Prude, he was ahead of Prude on the depth chart before he got injured. Joseph will have plenty of time to learn the system. He has been with the team since the summer, and he has accomplished more at the college level than any of our other CB's for next year.
