At what point in time were you the most proud be a LSU fan?

A couple different times come to mind for me.

First is the opening moments of the Tennessee game last year. It had been a rough few weeks here in Baton Rouge but all was forgotten for a while on gameday. People were out enjoying themselves and I was with friends and family enjoying it all with them. For all the heartbreak the end of the game had, it does not override the greatness of the night. Perhaps the only time I have ever looked around at a football game and seen people crying as the game was starting.

Second is the Indy Bowl when we played Notre Dame. I made that trip with my dad and it was the first game we had gone to together in a long while. We stood in those bleachers with the gusty winds and freezing cold rain as we watched LSU whip ND's butts. It was of course my dad who got me hooked on LSU and being able to experience such a game with him was great.

1986, when Dale Brown took the lowest seeded team ever to the Final Four. Every win was an upset.

I would have to say, watching the championship game here in Longhorn country dressed in complete purple and gold with a LSU flag as a cape in a sports bar.

ANd then after the win running around a country and western bar, in the same outfit pissing longhorn and aggie fans off.

My favorite experience was when we beat the Oklahoma Sooners for the national championship ........All season long all i ever heard was how good OU was.......when we lost to FL that season we rebounded from it ......When OU was still undefeated a few guys started telling me . LSU is getting close to the fire they better watch out!! .....A few weeks later i told them you know what happens when you get close to the fire???? You pee in it haha.....Anyways it was a real great experience for me being a Tiger in oklahoma.....I am really good friends with a lot of OU fans and we still sit and talk about the 03 season

Definitely leaving the Superdome that night, so overcome with disbelief that I was somewhat subdued...temporarily. :D

    Recent stuff.

Basketball. Beating Duke. Watching GT completely get inside Reddick's head was pretty enjoyable. The golden frat boy had no answer for a guy that nobody in the country had ever heard of except in La.

Football. JR's pass to Doucet at ASU was awesome. After everything that happened and all of the changes that had to be made for the game to be played. I just remember the whole night saying how there could almost be nothing worse happen than LSU losing that game. The whole state needed that.

After getting thumped by UGA in the SECCG last season. Those guys lost with dignity. They made no excuses. They didn't blame anybody. They took it like a man.

Then embarrassed the f*** out of the U:thumb:

The Sugar Bowl/NC was up there. I took a lot of chit being in Oklahoma also. I still give my OU fan friends a hard time about that game.

But, I was so proud of the final four men's team this year. They did what no one (including most Tiger fans) thought they could do and did so with grace and class. They reminded me of the Oklahoma State final four team from a couple of years ago. A group of guys with no big name stars, but with the will and the team chemistry to light the world on fire. Plus, they were wonderful representatives of LSU and the state of Louisiana.

National Championship Sugar Bowl win over the Sooners! Nothing really comes close for me.

Man, that was sweet! I watched the pre-game, all the game, and all the post game I could find.

It wasn't the best played game I ever saw (I still think we should have won 35-0 except for a blocked punt and an interception from Mauck, man we were really kicking their asses!). But for pure satisfaction, and for all the marbles, its the cats meow.

After 1958, I didn't know if I'd live to see another, and I sure am glad I did.

The 1996 CWS game with Morris hitting the 2 out homer and even more, the 2000 CWS game with the come from behind conclusion. I still watch those last 2 innings against Stanford from time to time on the tape I have of the game.
