Any of you use these when lighting charcoal. Tried one tonight and had 100 lbs of ash gray coals in just a few minutes. Just hook it up to a propane tank and fire away. Great sound also. Even if you are just setting up a small grill, forget the chimney, this is a must have toy.

Rated at 100,000 BTU, the perfect size torch kit for homeowners. Simply attach the hand tighten tank fitting to any refillable propane cylinder (not included) and go! You don't even need a wrench. Perfect for: Lawn Edges Between Garden Rows Sidewalks Driveways Brick Walkways Along Fences (especially chain link) Sand Boxes Rock Gardens Hard to Reach Areas and More! Useful for more than weeding: Burn brush, stumps, debris and more. Also start charcoal, campfires and burn-barrels.

It's such a good idea for lighting your grill that Weber has beat you to the punch: Weber Performer.

I am not a gadget dude but I think that thing is bitchin. Thanks

Cmon MLU, that Weber is lame. He said a 100 lbs. coal ready in minutes! Waiting on coals is a 3 beer minimum. 100 lbs. of coals is damn near a 12.

After Chad got the burner he talked his wife into this so he would have a place to use it, seems to be a good strategy:

Remember the 250,000 acre wildfires that N Texas and OK went through 6 mos ago? That was from a cigarette. Don't need 100,000 BTU's here!

Propane blow torch? Bad karma. The tin charcoal chimney with no petro-fuels is more my style. It's cheap and lasts forever. Matches are essentially free.

The one-match fire has great appeal to my inner Eagle Scout. I always try to achieve this for my personal zen.

Red, I thought you'd be like me and use the ole flint and steel...now that appeals to my inner "order of the arrow".

I guess this means you don't use a butane match stick, which is what we used to start the Weed Burner....
