You have more faith in the coaches than I do. . . Last week LSU had more 1st place votes than Alabama and still ranked below them because some coaches didn't have LSU in the top 3. Really? ? ?
I think 1. LSU 2. Alabama 3. OK with a fairly even distribution of first place votes is very possible.

For one, it doesn't matter right now, second, I don't want the target on our back, third, I don't want anyone getting over-confident, especially on defense, fourth, all things being equal, I'd rather not go into Bama ranked #1 if I had anything to say about it, which I don't, so there.
The BCS comes out Week 8. How do you keep the ldskule: from being ranked #1? If the :bball:ldskule: are 8-0 and Bama is 8-0 don't you want a matchup like this to be between #1 and #2? Fact: With LSU facing 7 SEC opponents out of their last 8 games how do you "sneak up on" anyone whether ranked #1, #2, or #3? How many bottles of beer on the wall? I hear you. No way to stop this train now. I'd rather go into Bama #3 going against #2, or reverse, but we all know a #1 LSU coming in will motivate the other guys just that much more. Probably doesn't really matter. Arguing over spilt milk at this point.
I want LSU to ride the #1 in all polls the rest of the season, we're the best team right now and still finding ourselves, when we do it's done. Plus this defense is young and aggressive, they want to win and the issues in the WVU game aren't going to be repeated.
Me, too. Let's quit being so freakin' scared of prosperity. This team has the goods to take it all the way. We might just want to enjoy the ride and the #1 ranking. The target is on our backs, regardless, as winning two BCSNC's since '03 will do that to a team.
