Look for something called "LSU Vision" to be announced. Basically, year "donations" for seats - mainly on sideline seats. Original Post
Skip's Cyber-Side Chat August 13, 2003, 10 a.m. Central time TO: Fans, Friends, and Supporters of LSU Athletics FROM: Skip Bertman, LSU Director of Athletics I am writing to make you aware of a press conference that will be held today on the LSU campus to address the future of your athletics program. At noon today, I will propose a plan that would help secure the future of LSU Athletics by allowing us to address all of our facility needs by the end of the decade, and at the same time establish financial stability for the LSU Athletics program. Today's announcement is the culmination of over a year of research and planning, meeting with fans, administrators from other universities and supporters of LSU Athletics, evaluating the needs of our program and establishing realistic goals for the future. The plan presented today will be subject to approval by the LSU Board of Supervisors. I think you will find that the plan addresses all of the challenges and goals presented to you in these Cyber-side Chats over the course of the last three and a half months. Your help in the way of e-mails, phone calls and letters has been invaluable as we have crafted this plan. I look forward to sharing this plan with you today. You will receive a Cyber-side Chat from me with more details later this afternoon. I thank you for your continued support of Tiger Athletics.
Here's the basics of the plan from what I'm hearing. Sidelines between the 25s will have to pay a $400.00 fee in addition to season ticket prices. Sidelines outside the 25s will pay $350.00 extra. SEZ and NEZ will pay $85.00 extra. Upper decks and TAF seating is unaffected (as well as student seating) Chairbacks in the upper decks will have an extra fee as well. Plan should raise an additional 7.5 million a year. Sounds like a good plan to me.
