C'mon There's nothing on the main site about it. I think soemone is stirring crap.........at least I hope so.
WWL radio just reported the same thing: a 5PM press conference. They said they have no info on what it is about. Why would he hold a press conference to say he is staying? But ususally they hold the press conference in their new city--here that would be Chicago.
He is probably announcing the new contract at LSU, or perhaps telling the media which juniors are staying in school and which are going to try to go to the NFL. I doubt he would have a press conference in BR to announce his new job as coach of the Chicago Bears.
Definitely true............ He's going to coach the BULLS , AND be host of "Good Morning Chicago" ! Also, he's going to be singing in the Chicago Philharmonic. Also, he's going to run for the U.S. Senate !
this is most likely good news. Why hold a press conference to announce you're leaving in Baton Rouge.
Saban has until Monday to accept the offer to the Bears. I just saw this on NFL on Fox. So we will know in the next 2 days if he stays or goes.
Neither the WGN or Chicago Tribune websites are reporting anything new. I find it hard to believe that if Saban was going to the Bears, that they would not be reporting it already. ESPN is not reporting anything either. Hope he is staying.
Saban press conference My initial thoughts are that it is good for LSU. I agree that it would be weird for him to hold a press conference to announce he's leaving. I can't see Saban being a "warm and fuzzy guy" and doing something b/c "he owes it to the fans." On the other hand, I could see his telling his buddy in Chicago,"Let me go back to BR and talk to my team before news hits the streets." If he does go, thanks to him for elevating the program. Regardless, I won't be pulling for the Bears.
