I can't think of any team left on our schedule that we shouldn't beat. Therefore we should be 11-1 heading into a bowl game.
Before the season, I picked 10-2, with 11-1 a higher probability than 9-3, if things went well. I'll stick with my preseason prediction, and hope for 11-1. We were concerned about the o-line gelling, and production at running back, with Alley and JV coming off the injuries. We thought a freshman (or redshirt fr.) may have to step up, and I still think that is true. We looked good againt LSOTP (little sisters of the poor), but the o-line didn't open running holes against elite competition. Maybe by later in the year?
Well, I was one of the idiot Jack***** that posted 13-0 and meet O state for all them marbles everyone keeps talking about. Now its 9-3 and the cotton bowl. Unless Jimbo and Les have a come to Jesus, Allah, Yaweh, Budda, Dalai Lama, or Hare' Krishna meeting and admit the running game will only work by loosening em up with the PASS FIRST, that is where the Tigers are headed. But seriously that ain't gonna happen, the predictable play calling/misuse of talent will continue for the rest of the season, so book ya accomodations for the cotton bowl now and beat the rush. Flame away, I'm already dreaming about next year:thumb:
Hey, hey, I said my piece on this one and I agree that I would be howling if our roles were reversed. Do I think it was the right call? No. Am I glad that it happened the way it did? Yes, to some degree. I would be happier if we had beat y'all with no controversy. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Great game. Move on. You'll be happier.
But I don't wanna! Ugh... I guess I have no choice. I'm just glad it's not just a bunch of LSU fans that saw that stuff. I think Oklahoma fans feel our pain, and although that doesn't get us a win, it sets me at ease.... a little.
