Discount Pollack all you want. His stats are certainly way down this year but ask most people who know football, that have actually seen him play and they will tell you he's playing better than last year, when he led the SEC in sacks, QB pressures, you name it. Where was Lavalias then?

With all due respect, it doesn't matter where Chad Lavalias was then. This is now. I know it's inevitable that people will refer to past games for comparison, and I understand that, but it truly has no bearing on anything.

Don't misunderstand me, I am not taking anything away from Pollack, he is excellent at what he does, but you said it yourself... His stats are down for this season... meaning, he hasn't played to his full potential.... Will this affect the game Saturday in the dome? We'll have to see...

Pollock will be the first one to tell people that his success has been due to team play and lining up along with other strong players. Sullivan and Veal in particular.

He also will be the first to acknowledge that Geathers is just as good of a DE as he is.
(Some of you older LSU fans may recognize the name "Geathers" from his father and uncle who played for the Saints and Lions)

Pollock has been recognized primarily because he makes the most out of every second that he is on the playing field.

And with the hustle that Pollock puts into his play, he often makes plays that someone who is slacking off would not make.

Pollock is simply an impact player who can do many things well.

I think it's funny that Pollack skips onto the field...I wonder...Do you think he'll skip onto the field when he has to line up opposite of Whitworth?

He sure "skipped" off with one bad wheel when we PANCAKED his ass on that one play...

No more spring in his step after that...More like walking around like Tiny Tim...

    LOL!!!!!!!!

I think it's all smoke and no flame. He hustles? So what? You'd better hustle or you will find your ass on the bench. That's the common thread of all the hype about Pollack. "His motor never stops", etc. etc. Doesn't mean squat if he's not hurrying or sacking the QB and from his stats, he's not.
