I know we have a football game this Saturday but I wanted to put that aside and let you know that the Mean Green Nation has you in our thoughts and prayers for a quick clean-up and return to normalcy for the lives of you and your loved ones. We were and are saddened to see the news and pictures coming from your corner of the world and hope for a speedy recovery for the region. God bless.
We appreciate the thoughts. We also expect that the game will be played. I hope you can make it. But you probably won't be able to find a room!
Thank you for your thoughts and wishes of good will. I'm leaving for Louisiana on Thursday night, and I hope we have a game on Saturday--because I think most of us need the diversion. When I couldn't get in touch with my parents all last night, I thought I was going to come unglued--even though they weren't in the New Orleans area.
So true. I know there are issues a lot larger than a football game at this point, but in terms of the way the people of Louisiana embrace LSU football, it would certainly be an emotional necessity to play the game and give the battered people of Louisiana something to cheer about.
Wow it takes a natural disaster (and I'm not talking about the game saturday) for a UNT fan to post! Nah, I'm just kidding... this is a VERY sobering event and all prayers are needed and appreciated... thanks Eagle.
