I saw this on the TF news bot above and I thought I'd post it to maybe shed some positive light on LSU players. BATON ROUGE -- In another example of LSU student-athletes making a positive impression on local youth, football and track standout Trindon Holliday spent time speaking to students at Our Lady of Mercy School on Thursday. In support of the Ms. Miller’s third-grade class motto of “Hard Work”, Holliday spoke with the elementary school students about how his hard work has paid off. He touched on the obstacles he has had to overcome to get to where he is today. He also answered questions from the students about a range of subjects including football, track and academics........... i saw that. definitely a feel good story. props to holliday for being such a fine young man and giving his time like that!:thumb:
Imagine what kind of motivation the little guys received from Holliday considering he is one of the little guys. Hell some of those kids could have been bigger than him.
anyone want to let us know if the story about the incident at the Varsity is true? If so what kind of implications may come from it?
i'm not here to stir the pot, check my previous posts if you don't believe me. I'm not here to throw stones either, Bama has had behavior problems as well. I only asked because it deals with the upcoming game. I think what Holliday did was pretty awesome when you think about it. Most players are up early for practice in class till about 12 or 2 then at practice till 6 so the fact that this young man took his own free time that he could have used to relax or do something less productive is commendable. As a guest i didn't want to start a thread about something i didn't know to be fact. I apologize for the thread hijack. We cool?
I started this thread to try to negate some of the negativity going on with that story. The LAST thing I wanted was more posts about that story on this thread so, yes we are because you acknowledged Trindon's class.
good deal, i'll resume my lurking stance until more comes out that can actually be discussed. Would be nice if more stories like Holliday's made the news rather than the bad stuff...but hey thats the news i guess.
