1. Wisconsin loses by 35 to a team that is 5-5 and drops only 5 spots remaining in the top ten. Texas beats a 3 win Kansas team in the final seconds and rises from 7 to 5. What a joke.
  2. Wisconsin and Texas are popular among voters. They have good reps and they hear good things about games in Madison and Texas. I think LSU gets the benefit of the doubt now among writers, so I wouldn't complain.

Also MSU is most likely the best 5-5 team in the country. If it wasn't for injuries to their QB they would be 7-3 or 8-2.
  3. Once again, the Big 10 perspective from Wiggum. Wisconsin and MSU would both be relegated to Ole Miss/Miss State status in the SEC: Wannabes and never-have-beens.
  4. What i'd like to know is how a team like miami that has lost 2 of its last 3, and those to unranked teams, is ranked ahead of LSU that lost its 2 games to top 10 teams weeks ago... so much for the "lose early, move back up first" theory.
  5. Let's wait until the bowl season. There will be 3 big ten sec match-ups. Since 1950 MSU and LSU have the same number of national championships 1.5. MSU won both in 1954 and UPI--the coaches in 1965. Look it up in college football database.

Wisconsin fans think they college football was invented in the mid-90s, I give you that. They actually think they are a big time program. But, Wisconsin does get 80,000 plus for their games, which would rank it up there with the the other big time SEC programs.
  6. That's how you stack these two programs up against one another? Wow. I guess that's that, then. I mean, if we included other measuring sticks, we might get a different outcome, but we wouldn't want that, would we? :dis:
  7. Michigan State is actully pretty damn good......Wisconsin was overrated though with no offense at all besides a running back....kinda like bama along with a pretty good defense.
  8. You never know what these guys are thinking. They are probably like the rest of the sports media. This weekend Trev Alberts said "Auburn beat LSU, who was a good team at the time." Uh, pardon me Trev but LSU is a much better team now than in the early season.

But no. LSU took two early losses and was 3-2 and a lot of people just wrote us off as a bad team and they still think that even though our only losses were to top-10 teams.

When LSU finishes 10-2 in January, it will be hard not to put us in the final top-10.

  9. I totally agree. But. to top it off, Miami loses one of those games at home and the other at UNC. Let me tell ya, that is a hostile environment. :hihi: LSU loses both games on the road and still gets snubbed. After the tigers rape :eek:lefire: , we should start to get some respect

    :lsug: :champs: :lsug:
  10. The polls just plain suck most of the time. The worst thing about the polls is
they don't use the same math or rules when voting different teams, one team
wins a close game and drops in the polls (i.e.LSU) another team has many close call last minute wins (i.e. USC) and they remain a strong #1. WTF????
Miami is another great example, we both have the same amount of losses, our's came at the first of the season theirs at the latter part, we lost to ranked teams they lost to unranked teams back to back......now they beat a
over-ranked team from a sorry conf. and leap frog teams like crazy.....6 spots in the AP..........
Anyway if LSU wins out we will finish in the top 10 and thats something to build on and be proud of........... :thumb:
