And the lipstick wore off Palin quickly. It's about McCain again.

I would attribute that more to the current economic issues and McCain's less than articulate attempts to deal with it. McCain is bound to get some blow back for the economy just as all repubs will, and the polls clearly reflect that. There is nothing to suggest Palin has lost her popularity, as much as you may wish it. Barring some catastrophic gaff on her part(that's Biden's specialty), she will continue to energize the race.

The vp debate will tell the tale.

I've heard reports to the contrary, but the media is fickle and the tides could turn over night. Anyway, I am suspicious of anything I hear on TV.

nah, that thing wont be worth watching. nothing but talking points since the GOP pushed for a format where the candidates cannot talk to each other. god knows why the dems accepted the format---i heard someone on tv guess that they were worried biden would come off looking like a sexist pig. but, hey, if he did then the GOP couldnt use the lipstick comment anymore.

They both have guys working for them that profited off those companies and that distresses me quite a bit. Looking at the list of people that have received $ directly is even worse. But what will help McCain is he at least took a shot at regulating Fannie and Freddie after it was discovered how out of control they were. Did Obama co-sponsor a bill like this, or just talk about it in the last year while he was trying to win votes for a higher office?

that's good. but voters are going to be able to work out that he was blasting Obama for something that he was guilty of himself

less voters are going to be able to figure out the nuances of Fannie/Freddie regulation

its poor form and worse, it shows mccain is sloppy.
