Okay, I've heard enough talk about how pollack is overrated and then the other hand that he is the greatest. I think he's a good player week in and week out. I wish he was a tiger. Well anyway, lets put this into numbers for this game. Over or Under Sacks 2 Tackles 7 And just for laughs, Whitworth/Reed steppping on his facemask after pancaking him 6
LMAO, Good thread... I'll say under on all 3...I'd also like to put in my own new category: Over/Under # of times he takes a play "off" 1 I'll take under.
Utilizing that criteria, ULL's Delesdernier ought to be 1st team All America: UL-Lafayette vs South Carolina (Aug 30, 2003 at Columbia, SC) SACKS (UA-A): UL-Lafayette-Delesdernier, M 2-0. South Carolina-Lawrence, Marcus 1-0.
I'll go with the under on all three. How about passes batted down - o/u 1.5? How about TFL - o/u 1.5? I'll take over on both and hope like hell that I'm wrong! LSU 13 UGA 10 :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
What criteria? He had no sacks last week and very little back-tackles but he forced an INT and interrupted MANY, MANY plays. Just because someone doesnt have a sack or tackle doesnt mean he wasnt important. Thats my point.
Personally I think Pollack is a great DE. But I think the caliber OL that he will face will be at his level. He will win some,a nd he will lose some. But it will come down to if we allow him to make a big play. I don't think that he is going to run all over us. Just don't be surprised if Addai runs the ball to the strong side or middle more. Hey you people forget, we handily beat Florida last year, who beat Georgia, so don't be so quick Georgia fans to underestimate us. I love our chances this year because we are flying under the radar out of the national spotlight, so I think we are a real sleeper. You guys don't know how good our freshman safeties are either.
That is an excellent point and one the GA fans need to understand. HE WILL WIN SOME AND HE WILL LOSE SOME. Even the greatest players don't win every battle. Pollack will not set up shop in LSU's backfield and demonize our entire offense every step of the way as some of you pontificate. He's a concern for our defense and one Saban will address in his game plan. But, for crying out loud. How dominating can he be when you consistently defend him with "he may not have had a sack, but..." ?? OK my last word on the subject.
