You guys are right. I have got friends that "nothing is good enough for them." They think that they need to whoop every single opponent. But even Ramah and folk are beyond those people. We just won a game. It wasn't pretty, but we won. Football is a game of winning and losing, and guess what...WE JUST WON. It isn't a game of "winning,but having an "*" next to the win because we couldn't muster offense similar to previous games."
FightinTIGER...I think we played poorly on offense... Our quarterback played his worst game this year... Our offensive line played its most inconsistent game this year... Petermen and Reed are the biggest culprits... Whitworth dominated, and he had the flu, as did some others on offense throughout the week, but you didn't hear that at all on the broadcast... Through all of that, we won... Do you think Mauck every plays that poorly again? Does his past dictate that? Do you think the offensive line plays that inconsistently again? Does their past dictate that? Do you think that our coaches aren't capble of making the necessary changes? Does their past dictate that? In other words...Do you think we're all blind? Do you REALLY think we need to be told we played poorly? DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Did y'all happen to notice that there was another team on the field? It was called "the Ole Miss defense!" Give them a little credit. They played lights out. Geesh!
Our offense played medicore tonight. Nobody disputes that. The correlation you are trying to make is that they will always play poorly and we should recognize that. We all watched the game, we saw it firsthand. But to try to convince us that a slow game against a fired up defense means we have an overall poor offense, then you haven't been watching the same games I have this year. Our offense has been outstanding. Two slow games out of 12 (one of which we won tonight) is no reason to try to say that our offense is no good. That is why we are pissed when we hear that. It is ludacris and not very perceptive of anyone to draw that conclusion.
USMTiger, Our offense has played poorly the last 2 weeks, Florida game. What some of us mean by that is Alabama and Ole Miss had the ball more than we did in the second half the last 2 weeks This offense has been spotty for most of the year. I am happy we won Some of us are concerned because the Georgia Kicker may not miss next time and we may need the offense to win a game instead of the Defense. A good offensive team would've been able to run the clock out tonight, not give Manning another shot to win.
