http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/09/14/D8CK6SOO2.html Looks like Chief Justice-to-be Roberts will have a great case before him in his first year. It's time for the Supreme Court to rule on this matter, once and for all. They got lucky last time, and were able to duck it because a standing issue, but this one could be right in their lap.
"U.S. District Judge Lawrence Karlton ruled that the pledge's reference to one nation "under God" violates school children's right to be "free from a coercive requirement to affirm God." that is put about as well as it could be, and i dont see how people dont agree.
Probably because the link between the reference to God and any "coercion to affirm God" is tenuous at best.
Not to worry. Bush's boys will take care of that crap when it reaches the Supreme Court. Now, if only we could declare Ruth Bader Ginsburg unconstitutional.
what? telling kids to "pledge allegiance" to a nation "under god"? it could barely be any more specific! the children are told specifically to promise that they are loyal to the nation which is "under god". why should my kids be told that in a public school? any assertion that god even exists is a purely religious point! schools are for teaching facts, not magic and wizarddry. indoctrination of children with religious values may be the number one problem in the world today. adults sometimes have the brains to accept the rational world, but children almost never fdo. we shouldnt be telling kids lies! they are not equipped with the critical thinking skills to avoid believing propaganda! until people recognize that you have to accept the world as it presents itself to you rationally, and not go making stuff up and believing it, the world will continue to be a dangerous place filled with killing and foolishness. people need to be vigilant and have the courage to stop this foolishness. to stop teaching children lies and accepting lies from others. we need to stop respecting faiths and pretending they are anything other than stupid. until then you are harldy justified to question anyone else's faith, even if they are killing you for it. and that is maybe literally the biggest problem in the history of the world. i cannot exaggerate it too much. accepting faith is stupid and dangerous.
Yeah, not to worry. Bush's boys will fail at their jobs of being impartial and do whatever it takes to force people into alignment with Christian beliefs. Nothing to worry about.:dis:
Somebody wake up our forefathers from their eternal sleep and ask them if this is the type of bullsh*t they envisioned.
