Looks like Rolle is trying to back off a little from his bullitin board comment about Breese after the GB game.
Cardinals' Antrel Rolle clears up quote about Brees
He has kind of a big mouth anyway so I'm not surprised he is the one who put his foot in it.:)

Yes we had a opponent's QB rating of about 53 after the Pats game.

The last 5 games were not pretty however and our QB rating suffered and we ended up moving from 1st to 3rd in that category.

What people forget is the Saints with a healthy Porter, Greer, Gay, Sharper and Harper were the best pass defense in the NFL.

I look for us to return to that form in the playoffs.

Warner will get his yards, but I bet his passer rating is below 80 this Saturday.

Its all about getting to Warner. I heard Joe Buck give some stat in the GB vs. Zona game that when Kurt Warner is sacked only once, he doesn't throw picks, but when he is sacked more than once, he throws multiple interceptions. Put Warner on his ass, he will start trying to force balls, and Sharper will take one to the house. Which sucks really because i really like Kurt Warner. He is a classy guy.

Just got a tweet from Adam Shefter:

"Cardinals are not expecting wide reveiver Anquan Boldin to play, though the team has not fully abandoned hopes that he can. But doubtful."

To me this is scary. Early D is one scary ass receiver in the slot. Can you imagine Shanle or Vilma having to cover Early? Man Greg Williams better come up with some creative blitz packages and hope his D can get to Warner quick.

This. They use the Bolden/Early receiver on short routes hoping for run after catch. They are pretty much the same size at 6'. Bolden is 217 lbs and uses power to try to get past the CB. Some months ago I heard that Early is up to 212 lbs and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he wasn't like 214 now. He is a little faster than Bolden and has quicker feet so physically they don't lose anything with Early. What they lose is experience. Bolden & Warner are on the same page with things like mid route adjustments and Early isn't quite there yet. So I'm hoping that Early misses a few adjustments that Warner is anticipating and we get a couple of chances at a pick. I think that turnovers will win this game and I'm hoping that we get them. But yea, Early is dangerous and right now his confidence is soaring.
Speaking of speed. Our WR's have more of it than the Cards. Surprisingly Fitz isn't all that fast. He's just big, jumps through the roof, and is very strong. So even if he is covered he often just takes the ball away from the CB. The only fast one they have is Breston and we have Henderson & Meachem. I'm also not at all sure they have an answer for Bush. Their linebackers are really good but they are bruisers who are good at run stop & blitz. They suck at pass coverage out of the backfield especially with someone as fast as Reggie. If they don't put a DB on him they will have PROBLEMS. Geaux Saints!

man i totally agree with you. This is Reggie's chance to earn his money. He can put all the negativity to rest if he just shows up in these playoffs, and that would include my own negativity.

What really scares me about this game, is the Saints haven't been all that effective when they abandon the running game, and Zona has a damn good run D. The Saints seem virtually unstoppable when they have a balanced attack, but i don't see Arizona budging too much on the ground. This is where Reggie comes in, with the screen game, and swing passes out of the backfield.

Off topic but just found out that a buddy of mine of 33 years who lives in Utah is driving the 475 miles down to my house just to watch the game. He is an Eagles fan but since they are NO LONGER A FACTOR:) he becomes a Saints fan. I laid in a supply of several cases of beer & bottle of Scotch just to tide us over. We now have another Saints fan. Who Dat!

I agree with this. I think the Saints will be ready this week. AZ has shown they are a team to contend with in the playoffs, but we were 13-0 for a reason. You are what your record says, and we are the better and rested team. Unfortunately, I will not be yelling from section 645, but I sure wish I were. Have fun at the game - it should be one for the ages, esp. with Deuce leading them out! I will be watching for sure!
