All issues and conditions aside, what is your favorite color for LM Bass ? My "go to" is black with a blue tail, second is black with a chartreuse tail.

For LM on my lake the choice is chartreuse with a black tail but I think lake conditions make a HUGE difference in how effective plastic worm color is. My lake is clean and clear and most of the year you have to fish deep with a plastic worm which is why I think the brighter chartreuse is more effective. Hey, its darker down there right?

ive caught one bass in the last couple of years.

    it was yesterday.
    on the golf course.
with a ham sandwich and a six iron.
scooped him right onto the sand.
this means ive used up all my luck. thats too bad.

    i like pumpkin seed/chartreuse

Murkey water, brighter colors. Clear water, more subdued colors.

Of course when my buddy in the boat catches a fish, I switch to what he was using. :D

I saw something the other day about a new soft plastic worm material. It seems that 12,000 tons of soft plastic worms and other lures get deposited in American waterways every year with an average life expectancy of more than 200 years. A discarded soft plastic lure consumed by a fish usually remains in that fish's stomach for the rest of its life and may cause issues such as ulcers, weight loss, and death.

Cast away those soft plastic lures

So this guy uses skin-graft technology to imbed microfibers in the soft plastic so that it can't be ripped away from the hook or bitten off.

for whatever reason, a black or darker worm always worked best almost every time for me regardless the conditions.

had this place id fish from the bank and could kill the bass with a black and chartreuse or blue tail.

yet put a dark one with a pink tail and fighting a choupique was soon to follow.

then again, i was deep in the swamp. alligator gars are proof of evolution, outside of patrick ewing.

i use lead shot when i can so no worries.

Me? I use a cast net for "green trout" (in shallow water of course). The trick is to match the color af the net with whatever color the famous "color C lector" tells me to throw.

Last time out I caught a six incher that way !!

Can we adopt a "NO LIBERAL CRAP" rule for this forum?

I normally prefer Junebug Red fished "Wacky" style.

I've cast netted for shad to fish with live bait and halled in a few myself. They shouldn't have been chasing the shad. :hihi:
