Anybody know what happened with Stephen Peterman?

    Was he just not performing?

Has he tried out anywhere else?

I'm not positive but I believe he just wasn't cutting it. Its posted elsewhere here but he was recentlly signed to the Lions' practice squad.

he had a season ending ACL injury soon after he was drafted. im sure its tough enough to make the team without that so im sure hes working his way back.

Much has been made in Dallas with Parcells having been extremely disappointed in both of the OL he drafted in '04, Peterman and a guy from USC. He was cut around the middle of training camp this year.

I think, also, that he was a little undersized for the pros, so lackluster performance was a killer.

Peterman's listed as 6-4, 323 lbs. Was it reported that Parcels thought he was undersized? IMO, that's a pretty good size to be if you're an O-lineman.

That was just a personal observation. He looked smaller than the other OL when he was out there, or maybe it was just that DL seemed to blow right past him. And I might also be comparing him to Whitworth when they were @ LSU, but of course, Whitworth is a mountain of a man.

All I know is that the Dallas OL is horrid at pass protection. They are riding Bledsoe pretty hard this year and even chants of Romo (backup QB) have echoed from the crowd. But if the OL can't provide any pass protection, Bledsoe can only do so much. This effects Bledsoe on the plays where he actually gets time because he gets happy feet and throws off the backfoot.

So an immobile QB and horrible pass protection OL means no division championship for the Boys.

Yep, the Boys OL is pretty bad. It's a shame because most of the other tools are in place for success.

What's your opinion in the Romo/Bledsoe drama?

The reports I kept hearing about Peterman was that he was an excellent run blocker but not nearly up to NFL standards in pass protection.

    Stacey/JP4LSU--
Clearly the OL is not the best in the league and did not pick up the blitz against Philadelphia. But I am surprised at how bad you both claim it is. Dallas is middle of the pack in sacks allowed and top 5 in rushing yards per attempt. Why do you believe it is so bad?
