1. I have read several post that this baby is outdated and looking rough. I remember as a kid going there to watch the likes of Don Redden and Jose Vargas....and it even seemed run down to me back then. Are there any plans to update it? I thought that I read a plan for updating the place about 2 years ago?
  2. the PMAC got all new seats and a paintjob last year. Over the past couple of years they've added some "fan friendly" stuff inside as well.
  3. The Maravich Center:
    Renovated and Rejuvenated

On July 1, 2004, the management of the Pete Maravich Center came under the direction of the LSU Athletics Department. The building has since undergone a multi-million dollar renovation, keeping "Pete's Palace," in its 35th season of hosting men's basketball, as one of the great basketball venues in the South.
    WHAT'S NEW
It's a renovation that began three years ago with new television lighting that can be turned on and off to allow for more freedom with player introductions and special ceremonies.

It continued in 2004 with a brand new roof surface that will serve for many years in the future, continuing the bright look the building had in the 1970s and 1980s. Also the outside windows of the building now feature the Tiger mascot running around the building which can be seen for miles as people enter the city on the Mississippi River Bridge.
In 2005, basketball fans experienced a completely redesigned concourse with video and graphic displays, renovated concession stands and video kiosks showcasing the best of the sports that play in the building - men's and women's basketball, volleyball and gymnastics.
This season, fans will enjoy new seating, more restrooms and easier access to all areas of the building.
