Don't forget there is no official NCAA championship recognized by the NCAA in D-1A. So winning the AP national championship gives them sort of the right to say national championship. They bought the rings I guess they say whatever it wants. Whoever finishes first in the NY Times rankings can buy rings saying national champions.

Heck, Tulane could give themselves rings saying Orleans Parish Champions. SLU could buy rings saying Tangipahoa Parish champions.

 

Yeah, p****d me off when they would pick a Trojan in the draft, Chris Berman would say "from the National Champions", and he would say their name. I don't agree with those who say that USC are National Champs or Co-national champs. There are only three kinds of people who keep saying this: USC fans, the media, and people who dislike LSU.

Everybody else realizes that by naming USC #1 in the AP poll, the MEDIA people were ONCE AGAIN striving to MAKE THE NEWS rather than just do thier job REPORTING THE NEWS.

The AP Poll is completely and extremely subjective and has ALWAYS been biased towards teams in the big markets in Los Angeles, Michigan and New York. The mass media have always been biased against the South.

I'm not kidding! I walked down Park Avenue up here in NYC dressed in my Corsair uniform today waving a big Louisiana flag and people yelled at me and called me a nut! I'm telling you, they hate everything Southern.

 

How $h!ttY is a system when you can't pick one team. It is so obvious that LSU deserves the NC and no one else.
