Decision Day For Top H.S. Players

Perrilloux, leads list of players making announcements

National Signing Day has arrived and top prospects from coast to coast will be making their announcements and choosing their football programs today.

It all starts at the top, and recruiting analyst Tom Lemming's top-rated prospect Ryan Perrilloux decided to stay at home, choosing LSU over Texas and Mississippi State in an announcement broadcast live on CSTV.

"It was best for me and best for my family," Perrilloux said. "The quarterback situation is great and my family will be close."

While top WR Fred Rouse is not expected to make his announcement today, USC and Cal fans will be waiting all day to hear WR DeSean Jackson decide between the two schools tonight.

USC fans will also be waiting on LB Brian Cushing (BC, USC, Miami), DB Reggie Smith (Nebraska, USC, Oklahoma) and DL Kyle Moore (USC, Miami), among other top names.

The battle has been fierce for RB Antone Smith, with Auburn fighting the trio of Florida, Florida State and Miami for the Pahokee RB. Also out of Florida, DB Kenny Phillips has narrowed his list to Tennessee and Miami.

On Tuesday, RB Jason Gwaltney announced that he would attend West Virginia, choosing the Mountaineers over USC. Gwaltney had orginal;ly committed verbally to West Virginia, but had looked seriously at a number of other schools before reaffirming his original choice.
