As Dandy Don is reporting, Ryan Perrilloux lit up the scrimmage yest... and he had around 100 yds... This offense really has him puzzled! also... Rickey-Jean Francois is an animal! He will probably be the freshman who gives the most impact this season... Also... a sleeper is Antonio Robinson... He was considered the 'best conditioned' freshman, and he rooms with RP, so it is a sure sign of his confidence in himself if he can handle living with RP... All-in-All, I think the scrimmage was costly, obviously... But a lot of good came of it as well.
You obviosuly never played football. WTF? I hope he can "handle" living with a big named recruit/teammate.???? HUH? Coach Miles said RP is ahead of schedule. He'll be ready if called upon this year. He's only an injury or two away from taking live snaps.....
well when this one recruit is as confident/cocky as Ryan is... It shows that he can handle him with the best of them... Trust me... the little shy kid in the back of the class couldn't room with him! And he isn't an injury away from playing... The outline is for him to play RIGHT now
JR is our starter. RP will get his turn soon enough(and he'll prolly be a great one in time). Two years ago JR looked 10 times better than Matt Mauck in the scrimmages. I think Saban and Fisher did the right thing, huh? I know the stats(7-7) got you all warm and fuzzy, but deflate that RP blow-up doll for a couple days. You've worn out the plastic on the right leg.......
So are you Jimbo Fisher? You know EXACTLY how it will play out? We will play 2 QBs... and yes indeed Russell WILL be our starter... It isn't a crime or a sin to do this... When OU played us in the title game, they would often put the backup in for a couple of plays...
I am not ragging you..., but how do you know so much? You an equipment manager? You a scout? If you are so sure of all this stuff, you have to be associated somehow, or else, you wouldn't be going out of a limp on a guess.
I believe you're friends with RP, but if you want to keep getting "the scoop" for months/years to come, don't quote personal conversations you have with him on the board. The SID office surfs the LSU fan sites looking for this kinda stuff. Just say a "friend of mine".... Just advice from someone that would know. I've been to several practices (all the time in 2003).... All I'm saying is things are different when the lights are on in front of 92K fans. I'm all for playing the best player no matter how long they've been in the program. Just don't get too excited and think he'll play big minutes because he had a great scrimmage... RP might be the next great one at LSU, but he'll have to wait his turn. He's not getting anywhere near the snaps behind center that JR and MF are getting....
i hope they don't play 2 qbs. UGA did that in 2002 with shockly and it cost them. I don't care how good RP looks I hope he redshirts. And the plan is not for him to play right away. The plan is for JR to be dominate and maybe allow RP some mop up work but I hope RP plays zero this year.
