But the middle-class voters consider them scared cows. How soon the Republicans have forgotten the debacle that was the Bush SS Privatization Plan! Give me a break, have you seen Romney's ads.
What I've seen of adds are Barry bashing Romney on Bain and being rich. Romney bashing Obama with his own words and his record as Pres.
Again based onn non partisan measures BHO ran 70% negitive ads in 2008 and will spend more than Romney this year. Never said only is said the MOST. Give me a break and don't pick nits and respond to the whole point.
This does not validate your statement. 2008 is irrelevant and spending levels do not prove "the most negative campaign in recent history" Just like you and everyone else, I will respond to what I want to.
here is very much radical and a tea party person. Romney just lost Florida with this pick. Ryan wants to change programs retirees depend on and he voted to lift the cuban embargo. He wants to gut all those programs without a single dollar in additional revenue, thats not going to play well, baby boomers and retirees will let him have it in the polls for these policies. Basically make you pay more for medicare but not raise taxes on anyone. good luck with that.
Red, you have to admit the add blaming Romney for the ladies cancer death is way over the top. I haven't seen a Romney produced equivalent - if you have i'd like to know which add it is.
It will be interesting to see how those under 55 or so like Medicare and Social Security when the boomers retire en masse and only 2 workers pay for each retiree. The young will be taxed to the hilt with nothing in services to show for it. The libs refuse to address this and use any mention by opponents to club them as heartless. Ryan deserves credit for putting a proposal on the table. The libs and BHO specifically have been craven and acted like the poltroons they are.
Only the ad doesn't accuse Romney of causing cancer. Have you actually seen it? It accuses Romney of buying, then bankrupting GS Steel, laying off her husband and reneging on the pension and benefits they had been promised while he walked away with millions. Obama isn't even in it! It's just a guy who was a victim of Bain Capital job outsourcing. It is not even endorsed by Obama at the end. It's a PAC commercial and PAC commercials are notoriously negative, going back to the Swift-boating PAC attack of Kerry, which far and away was more negative and contemptable than any ad since. Geez, How about the ad that took an Obama remark out of context and suggest that he said that business didn't create themselves, when the entire quote makes it obvious that Obama was talking about infrastructure. Or the ad that took the Obama remark "If we keep talking about the economy, we're going to lose." without mentioning that he was quoting John McCain. Just outright lies. On a recent ad regarding welfare, Romney says "Under Obama's plan, you wouldn't have to work, and wouldn't have to train for a job." which is absolute bullshit. A flat-out lie.
Yes Red I've seen the add; have you. A one minute add that starts with "I don't think Mitt Romney knows what he has done', then spends about 45 seconds talking about how she got sick and died; then ends with "I don't think Mitt Romney knows what he has done, and I don't think he cares". Compare that to replaying Obama's 'you didn't build that' remark and you think Obama is more wronged. Romney causes cancer vs Obama doesn't respect business and you think Obama took the biggest hit. Could you please try to be a little objective when it comes to Obama, Red?
Give me a friggin' break. The ad did not say that Romney causes cancer. That's right-wing blogger spin. Karl Rove 101 is that when a opponent's ad hurts you badly, you attack him directly to distract from the message of the ad. The ad said that Romney profited millions by screwing GS Steel employees out of their pensions and benefits. Not one damn thing about Romney causing cancer. http://www.youtube.com/embed/Nj70XqOxptU?feature=player_embedded
