I expect a 30+ point win over Tech and then there should be a blowout win over Meedle Tenn. How much more ground to we gain with a fUSC bye? And if fUSC struggles against kN? (a friend from Nebraska says the "N" on the helmet stands for nowledge) Does anyone think it's possible to jump fUSC without them losing?
No, the media is too much on USC's jock for LSU to jump them without them losing. As long as they win they must be the greatest team ever.
IMO - if we both run the table, USC will be #1 and we will be #2. However, as it has been said before in the forum, as long as we get to the NC game, it does not make any difference. All we need is a ticket to the dance in NOLA.
The only way to jump USC is for USC to lose. You may be asking for a lot from our Tigers, 30 Point win would be great but....now MTS is not a push over, but we should win.
Not that I'm worried, but Middle Tenn has put up 42 pts so far on Louisville. About 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
Lets take it one game a at a time, lets take of a dangerous V-tech team then we'll see.As long as we are in NC #1 or #2 doesn't matter in the end.
That mindset is for the players. You can't seriously tell me you wouldn't want to see the Tigers at #1 during the regular season.
It's a good mindset to have as a fan as well. When did we as fans start expecting 30 point wins over top 10 teams? Not even USC fans have high expectations over top 10 opponents as well. Just saying, if we do lose the people who were expecting huge LSU blowout wins will be the ones complaining the most and calling for Miles head because of their unreasonably high expectations. We haven't done anything for me to believe we'll blow out VT but I do think we will win by 1-2 scores.:geauxtige
I certainly won't mind being us number one, but our goal is to end as number one not to be number one for a few weeks and lose in the end.Being the top team brings more distractions, more hype and puts a bulls eye on you.Pretty much rest of the country would be gunning for your failure and enjoy if you do slip up.
