Have there been any Heisman winners who've gone to the NFL and totally rocked? It seems that the Heisman trophy is more of a curse than an award.
tim brown, bo jackson, tony dorsett, oj simpson. I think Vinny and the Jets won it. although he's not great he is still hanging around going on 20 years in the league i believe. also i think he won the year after Bo Jackson...just to put it in perspective timewise.
It seems like the "heisman jinx" is a recent thing.. past decade or so.. A lot of the 80's winners did very well in the nfl.
remember when sanders coulda been the rushing leader one year with detroit in the last game and he told Wayne Fontes, I think, don't worry about it. Put the backup in. that dude was a trip. didnt really care yet great.
He did not like attention at all.. He was a team player in every sense of the word. Yet he was so good that attention was unavoidable.
