It is a sliding scale...the higher your gpa, the lower your test scores can be and vice versa. Not sure if I have the exact numbers but i'll look through my stuff.

I thought 35 used to be the maximum score? I took the SAT's so I'm not as familiar with th ACT's. I know both added a writing section which makes 3, 800 point sections for the SAT for a total of 2400 possible points, but the NCAA says it won't look at that part of the score, just the original verbal and math. So why is the ACT score still higher?
a perfect act score is 36 which is a an average of 4 sections. maybe thats the 4 added together. like if you have a 2.0 you have to have an act total of 80, around 20 on each section.
However, college admission requirements are much tougher than the NCAA's in general. LSUBR's Undergraduate admission requirements.... http://appl003.lsu.edu/slas/enrollweb.nsf/$Content/Admission+Requirements+for+High+School+Students?OpenDocument
I don't know about the rules now, but it used to be you had to have a 17 min. ACT score no matter what your GPA was. Of course your GPA had to qualify as well, but it didn't matter if you had a 4.0 or a 2.0, you still needed a 17 to qualify.
Since the average ACT score of the student body at Grambing and Southern range from 14.2 to 16.6, then athletes there have a higher GPA than the student body! State Universities
