Oxford Mayor Proclaims "It's Win the West Week In Oxford"

    Isn't this the sweetest thing you ever heard?


    Because of the SEC division title ramifications, Oxford Mayor Richard Howorth officially proclaimed this "Win the West Week" at Tuesday night's Board of Aldermen meeting.

    Howorth said the proclamation is fashioned in a way that will enhance the community without providing "locker room fodder" for the LSU team.

    Man, if you buy into Saban's philosophy that excessive expectation breeds performance-killing anxiety, we should wax the floor with these guys on Saturday because they'll be all ate up!

    What's next? The governor declares Saturday a state holiday or something?

    He might, after all he is an ole piss alumn. Fortunately for us here in MS, he just got his ass kicked by the guy from MSU in the recent election, so we won't have to put up with him much longer.
