Here's a topic that should piss some people off--but it could be interesting. What player on the current LSU roster do we as fans most overrate--not that said player isn't good, but just that we hold him to a higher standard than we should? Let's try to be objective.
Justin Vincent easily. The uneducated fan wants him to dominate like when he was a freshman, when if you go back and watch the games over, he had 2 and sometimes 3 yard wide holes. The dude was 4th string to start the season for a reason
Bowe on O and Highsmith on D. Bowe has never shown himself to be mister dependable but yet we always expect him to be the man. Buster Davis deserves that title of "the man" more than Bowe. Highsmith because I always expect too much from linebackers.
I don't know about Ryan, hard to tell if a red-shirt freshman who hasn't started his 2nd year yet, if he is over-rated or not, he needs time to learn the system, and until he gets in a game we don't know, but apparently he is doing just fine in practice.
I agree with you on that, but there are some on this board who seem to think he can automatically step in and make a difference.
That's because the fans opinions are way overrated, especially our own. And I'll add the media to this list.
I have to go with Justin Vincent. Based on the agreement that people expect to see performance of the caliber in his Fr. year. Last year he should nothing. More props to the o line that year.
